What to do in the Garden in January
January is the perfect time to get organising and planning. If you’re new to gardening, this is the time to get yourself organised. Buying seeds you want to grow, researching the sort of soil and compost you want to use and more.
Vegetable Garden
Protect your brassicias (broccoli, kale and kohl rabi) from pigeons with netting and fleeces.
Plan this years crops selection, and where you’ll plant them. If you are able to, grow your crops in different beds to the year before, to avoid potential risk of disease.
Other Jobs
Clean your pots and trays
Check compost bins for excess moisture and turn regularly.
Organise any seeds you may have.
